CHIC & COMFY

C&C 1The greatest challenge in today’s outfit was to pull off a dressy-casual look in which the key piece was my beautiful blue vest. I wanted to wear it for a long time but never really knew how to style it. I am quite reluctant when it comes to mixing super classic pieces of clothing with casual-sporty ones but this time it all worked better than expected.

I wear : ESPRIT vest | GAP sweater | TALLY WEIJL jeans | ZARA scarf, earrings & bag | STRADIVARIUS sneakers

Take care amigos,

KNITS FOR SPRING

KNITS FOR SPRING 1Today’s day was all about running around and getting things done and for that reason I needed my outfit to be very comfortable. Last week’s warm weather was chased away by the rain and still hasn’t come back so I had to take out my lightweight knit sweater and cardigan which were perfect for today’s unsettled weather.

Sweater from Stradivarius | Jeans from Gap | Sneakers from Superga | Bag from Zara

Thanks for visiting my blog guys,

VERTICAL STRIPES

VERTICAL STRIPES 1All right, all right, all right.
So this is how I looked yesterday. I was in a mood to wear a classic shirt and style it in a dressy-casual look perfect to run some errands downtown. But this shirt ain’t any shirt! I bought it last year or maybe even 2 years ago at Zara and couldn’t believe how amazingly comfortable it is. It is a bit stretchy and long enough. These are the two first things I usually check when buying shirts. And then there are stripes, blue stripes… ahh perfect for me.
And it looks even better teamed with my pair of classic raw jeans from Gap. By opting for my navy blue sneakers from Stradivarius, I kept it tonal and finished off with my amazing new jacket from Promod. I was hesitating between this one and a classic trench coat and needless to say which one I took home with me.
By the way, the other option concerning footwear is a pair of suede pumps or flats for a casual Friday at the office. Oh I almost forgot, my gorgeous tweed bag is from Zara too, isn’t it simply amazing?

Hope you will like my post guys. Take care,

Xo, G.

TURTLENECK TOP

MLOTD 2
I am wearing : ZARA turtleneck top and earrings, STRADIVARIUS cardigan-coat, TALLY WEIJL jeans, GAMLOONG leather boots, H&M rings

This is how I dressed today. As usual, I went for a very casual, comfortable outfit by wearing my new burgundy cardigan/coat which I paired with a body-kissing turtleneck top in a rose poudré shade and a pair of high-waist skinny jeans. I finished the look with my black boots, which you’ll see me wearing a lot in the days to come.
After we had a warm weather for the past 2 weeks, fall officially kicked off today. The hardest thing now, is to adjust my wardrobe to the chilly weather and start wearing layers of clothes, shawls, thicker socks etc. Not that I’m not prepared, but after living almost 5 months under 23 degrees, I got used to wearing shirts instead of jackets, so it feels like the transition is going to be a bit hard.

Hope you’ll like my pics guys!

CASUAL UNIFORM

OOTD 1

Promod coat, Stradivarius shirt and sneakers, Tally Weijl jeans, Random viscose scarf

I guess fall has arrived. I had to wear a coat today, a thin one though so there’s no reason to complain or worry as for the next 5 days the weather forecast is quite good.
For today’s look I opted for this navy coat with large silver zippers, a denim shirt and white jeans. As I have previously wrote about my obsession for navy and white stripes, there’s no surprise I accessorized with a striped scarf. Oh by the way, I am literally mad about scarfs and shawls which I sometimes wear as the key piece of the outfit. The one I wore today, added some visual interest to the plain pieces of clothing this look is made of. As I’ve spent my day shopping and strolling through the city, what a better choice than my super confy half-varnished dark blue sneakers to finish this particularly simple look of the day.

SUNNY AUTUMN

SUNNY AUTUMN 1

I am wearing : H&M baseball jacket and t-shirt, Stradivarius jeans

Fall is the worst season of the year for me since it puts an end to Summer, it rains all the time and trees are bare of leaves. At my great surprise, I have learned to appreciate the good things Autumn has to offer. Have to admit that this mild weather helps me a lot!
I have forced myself to think of Autumn as the beginning of something new. In my world, the new year kicks off in September, a month when I start focusing on new projects.
This year for instance, I have decided to start this blog which made my bucket list a bit shorter. But there are still many others, some of which have to wait another year or two to get started and some I have been struggling for years to achieve. Still not done to this day by the way!
However, no matter how demanding those projects and challenges are, I try to face them in style.
Yesterday’s weather was extremely mild and sunny (today’s too) and it felt like Spring actually. Nevertheless, I always carry a light jacket with me in case it gets chilly but these days short sleeves are all you need.

I got this green and white baseball jacket at H&M a few years ago and it’s still like new. It’s more like a sweatshirt which makes it very comfy and pleasant to wear.
My love for baseball jackets (or American football jackets) goes back to my childhood, when I was dreaming of being a cheer-leader ^_^. I got the first one at the age of 11-12 from my cousin. It was red with white faux leather sleeves and was brought from the USA … I was ecstatic!!
I like wearing this jacket with ripped jeans and plain t-shirts whenever I’m planning on having a busy day. The only thing missing is a baseball cap but I’m still searching for THE ONE.

DENIM ON DENIM

DENIM OVER DENIM I am wearing Stradivarius denim shirt and sneakers, Gap jeans

I must confess that when the denim-on-denim trend arrived, I wasn’t very fond of it at the beginning, but as the saying goes “only fools never change their minds“. So here I am, posting pictures and writing about all-denim looks.

My views have changed after seeing several celebrities pulling off the denim-on-denim trend especially Olivia Palermo and Miranda Kerr. So I gradually became interested in trying it myself and even though it took me several years, I now have the necessary clothing to rock a head-to-toe denim look in my own way.

Although I have embraced this 90’s inspired style, there’s no chance you’ll ever see me wearing a head-to-toe denim look with a blue denim jacket! No way! I consider it to be a very uninteresting style and even back in the 90’s, when I was just a kid and everybody was all about the denim-on-denim trend, I remember how I hated their outfits with their oversized denim jackets.
But this doesn’t mean I don’t wear denim jackets, far from it! I actually adore denim jackets and always had. I have two; the light blue one which I love wearing with everything but my blue jeans (of course) and the dark blue one which is actually sleeveless now, and that I love teaming with oversized sweaters and hoodies.

As for my own way of styling denim with denim, I only go for denim shirts for the top and for the bottom I have a choice between jeans, skirts or cut-offs which I style most of the time with sneakers for a daytime casual-comfy look. Like it’s the case for this photo shoot. But more classic and edgy looks involving lots of denim are still to come! ^^
