RED KICKS

RED KICKS BY GAGI 1It feels good to finally be able to dress lightly and wear bold colors.
While picking out my outfits lately, I realized that my spring and summer clothes are so much better than my winter wardrobe. I mean, most of us tend to wear the same clothes all over again when it‘s cold or rainy outside and in my case it is due to a lack of motivation. I actually wish I could hibernate until spring! Hehe
But luckily, spring 2015 is here and here‘s the first real spring outfit consisting of my “MY STYLE MY RULES“ t-shirt from Zara, my new cargo pants from Promod and my new sneakers from Superga. The denim jacket is an old one but still looks like new.

Thanks for reading my blog guys,

Good night!

NIKE DUNK LOW

NIKE DUNK LOW 1I am a real sneaker freak but I’m not a shopaholic so I buy them ‘slowly’, if I can put it that way. But the main reason why I don’t buy sneakers (shoes) that frequently is because I need them to be different from what everybody around me is wearing. For instance, Adidas Superstars and Stan Smiths are not even on my list. Especially the collection Pharrell Williams has launched. I am not saying that I don’t like them, far from it, but I like my sneakers to be kinda unique. I have always liked Dunk Low sneakers and I have bought a few of them over the years, but only have this pair left. I purchased them in England 6 years ago and people always ask me if they are new. ^_^ That actually makes me smile. As for my entire look of the day, it is very laid-back and comfortable. If you are looking for an effortless style go for light denim, grey and black these three colors work perfectly together.

Nice weekend guys!

YESTERDAY’S

YESTERDAY'S 1To run yesterday’s errands, I went for a very basic look which consisted of a navy blue S.Oliver sweater, raw jeans from Gap and my favorite cardigan from Comptoir des Cotonniers. It is sunny yet quite windy in Ljubljana these days and I get the feeling that it will be some time before I can trade my chunky oversized cardigan for blazers or denim jackets!
Anyways, I am lucky enough to be able to wear my Star canvas sneakers from Converse that I bought online a few months ago. I love stars on my clothes and sneakers, and the funniest thing is that I have a pajamas with the exact same stars! I have to take some pics to show you, it would be a funny photo shoot! ^^

Thanks for reading guys,

MY CASUAL CHIC

MY CASUAL CHICToday was such a beautiful and warm day that I traded my coats for this super light Primark parka and I couldn’t be happier about it! Spring is coming and I am gonna welcome it with open arms and a happy face.
To complete my beige jacket, I went for this super chic roll neck jumper from Zara that works with everything from my wardrobe, from super chic skirt to destroyed jeans. It is really a nice piece of clothing.
The bottom part of today’s outfit consists of the most comfortable pair of jeans ever that I got at Stradivarius last year. I am still looking for the perfect boyfriend jeans, so I guess I’ll visit their store to see what they are having lately since those at Zara and H&M doesn’t fit as I want them to.
Anyways, you may have recognized the sneakers already as I have been wearing them in previous outfits. They are from Stradivarius as well, if you’re wondering. However, they are from last year but I’m pretty sure their new collection is sick too! I gotta go check out what’s new!
And last but not least, my perfect tweed bag from Zara is such a treasure. It is the best purchase I’ve done this year.

Take care guys,

Xo, G.

SUNDAYS

PLAID, LEATHER, KNIT & SUNSHINE

I honestly cannot be happier these days!
After two weeks of depressive weather and poor light, the Sun finally showed up its face yesterday. I woke up with so much energy and positivity. The sunshine has so much positive influence on my mood that as soon as I opened my eyes, I jumped out of bed (which is so unusual for me), started organizing my day, my week, the holidays and the list goes on… That felt good!
After a productive morning, I had a very productive afternoon too! Don’t know if it is the weather or not, but I got a clear and definite ‘yes’ from my husband when I asked him if he’ll go with me for a session of shopping at the mall. The last time we went shopping together was like a year ago, you know how men are…
Anyways, before going to the mall we stopped at this beautiful spot not far from where we live to take a few shots. The view was impressive as usual. Is there anything prettier than a view of sunny snowy mountains ? It is so relaxing and pure and every time I see them, I cannot wait to go snowboarding.
The outfit I picked out for yesterday was super comfy and cozy, exactly what I was looking for since shopping can sometimes be very exhausting. I went for the plaid shirt as it goes perfectly with the actual mood. Tartan patterns always reminded me of Christmas so it was an obvious choice. I usually wear it buttoned up but this time I wanted to play with layers and decided to wear a white t-shirt under it. The faux-leather pants added a rock’n’roll therefore interesting vibe to the whole look so that is why I wore them instead of a pair of jeans. As for the shoes, it didn’t take me long to choose. I will never wear anything else than sneakers for a shopping session, never! Hats off to all those women and girls I saw yesterday strolling through the mall and carrying their shopping bags, their bulky coats and wearing heels! Speaking of bulky coats, I definitely didn’t want to carry around my down coat which tends to annoy me pretty quickly as I have to have my hands free to touch all the fabrics, so this time I turned on my brains while still at home and decided to wear my warm knitted oversized cardigan which once I was hot, put in the shopping bag.

Take care guys!

CASUAL UNIFORM

OOTD 1

Promod coat, Stradivarius shirt and sneakers, Tally Weijl jeans, Random viscose scarf

I guess fall has arrived. I had to wear a coat today, a thin one though so there’s no reason to complain or worry as for the next 5 days the weather forecast is quite good.
For today’s look I opted for this navy coat with large silver zippers, a denim shirt and white jeans. As I have previously wrote about my obsession for navy and white stripes, there’s no surprise I accessorized with a striped scarf. Oh by the way, I am literally mad about scarfs and shawls which I sometimes wear as the key piece of the outfit. The one I wore today, added some visual interest to the plain pieces of clothing this look is made of. As I’ve spent my day shopping and strolling through the city, what a better choice than my super confy half-varnished dark blue sneakers to finish this particularly simple look of the day.
