dds 6The other day, we were shooting this cute little outfit consisting of the comfiest dress ever that was made to be worn with sneakers and a denim jacket for a perfect casual look. It is a very simple, young and timeless look I have been wearing for years. Even though dresses weren’t my thing for a long time, I have learned to style them my own way (with sneakers ofc!) and wear them more often on daily basis. If you too are a tomboy don’t wait a minute to try this style and trust me, you will instantly embrace it and even become obsessed with it.

Take care guys,

YESTERDAY’S

YESTERDAY'S 1To run yesterday’s errands, I went for a very basic look which consisted of a navy blue S.Oliver sweater, raw jeans from Gap and my favorite cardigan from Comptoir des Cotonniers.ย It is sunny yet quite windy in Ljubljana these days and I get the feeling that it will be some time before I can trade my chunky oversized cardigan for blazers or denim jackets!
Anyways, I am lucky enough to be able to wear my Star canvas sneakers from Converse that I bought online a few months ago. I love stars on my clothes and sneakers, and the funniest thing is that I have a pajamas with the exact same stars! I have to take some pics to show you, it would be a funny photo shoot! ^^

Thanks for reading guys,

Xo, G.

THE GIRL FROM THE WOODS

TGFTW 1

When I opened my eyes this morning, the rays of sunshine were penetrating through the curtains into my bedroom and in my world, there’s no better way to start the day. Just after I have taken my breakfast, I stepped on the balcony and immediately felt the warmth of the sun on my skin. It feels strange to be able to walk around barefoot and wearing nothing but a t-shirt at this time of the year. At 10 a.m it was 21ยฐC …

So I have decided to make the most of this beautiful day and went for a morning stroll in the nature, for which I opted for a very simple and comfortable outfit consisting of a v-neck grey and white Gap t-shirt, a dark blue denim sleeveless Levi’s jacket (the 15-year-old one I got from my sister – almost a vintage piece ^^ – and decided to cut the sleeves off) paired with light pink Zara skinny jeans. To finish the look, I took out my favorite and most comfy silver leather gladiator sandals bought in Greece.

I always loved how pink and grey harmonize, especially the lighter shades of these two colors. Talking of which, I am currently looking for a beautiful fluffy candy pink sweater but all those that caught my eye were 100% made of acrylic or polyester and I am so against synthetic fabrics. The one I saw at Stradivarius is beautiful and pretty soft, but the smell is so unbearable! I guess I’ll have to try to wash the bad smell off and wear it over a shirt to get used to it. But if some of you know where I can find a fluffy sweater made at least of 40% cotton, I would be very appreciative if you could help me.

Have a nice one guys!

DAY TRIP TO BLED

BLED 1

ZARA leather jacket, t-shirt and earrings, GAP jeans, GAMLOONG leather boots, H&M rings

This was my second time visiting Bled (Slovenia). Three years ago, I visited the castle with my friends and family who came from Paris for my wedding. This time, we rented a small boat and went straight to the Bled Island in the middle of the Lake Bled and I enjoyed it more this time around.
Firstly, the atmosphere and the landscape are hundreds time prettier during fall, particularly when it’s sunny and a bit windy. You got to witness leaves falling from trees which are like bouncing from place to place, flying, making fall enchanting. In the background, the forest is painted in so many colors that it makes your speechless while staring at it. Nature is so inspiring. Secondly, I prefer the view of Bled from the ground as you can admire the castle from the lake and island as well as from every single hotel, restaurant or street in the city. Don’t get me wrong, the view from the Bled Castle is astonishingly beautiful so it would be a shame to miss it if you’re one day visiting Slovenia.
Anyways, while picking my outfit of the day, my wish was to blend with the environment and it came as natural to wear my goldenrod leather jacket which I paired with black and denim. This way, the jacket became the key piece of the look and moreover respected the surrounding nature. Once I went through the pictures, I was so happy for having picked out this jacket! Hope you’ll enjoy my pictures guys.

ps: Whilst today’s post is all about me and my look of the day, tomorrow you’ll see more pictures of the richness and beauty Bled has to offer to its visitors.

DENIM ON DENIM

DENIM OVER DENIM I am wearing Stradivarius denim shirt and sneakers, Gap jeans

I must confess that when the denim-on-denim trend arrived, I wasn’t very fond of it at the beginning, but as the saying goes “only fools never change their minds“. So here I am, posting pictures and writing about all-denim looks.

My views have changed after seeing several celebrities pulling off the denim-on-denim trend especially Olivia Palermo and Miranda Kerr. So I gradually became interested in trying it myself and even though it took me several years, I now have the necessary clothing to rock a head-to-toe denim look in my own way.

Although I have embraced this 90’s inspired style, there’s no chance you’ll ever see me wearing a head-to-toe denim look with a blue denim jacket! No way! I consider it to be a very uninteresting style and even back in the 90’s, when I was just a kid and everybody was all about the denim-on-denim trend, I remember how I hated their outfits with their oversized denim jackets.
But this doesn’t mean I don’t wear denim jackets, far from it! I actually adore denim jackets and always had. I have two; the light blue one which I love wearing with everything but my blue jeans (of course) and the dark blue one which is actually sleeveless now, and that I love teaming with oversized sweaters and hoodies.

As for my own way of styling denim with denim, I only go for denim shirts for the top and for the bottom I have a choice between jeans, skirts or cut-offs which I style most of the time with sneakers for a daytime casual-comfy look. Like it’s the case for this photo shoot. But more classic and edgy looks involving lots of denim are still to come! ^^

This is the kind of clothes I feel most comfortable in (and tracksuits of course!). I mean, how not to love loose-fitting clothes? Especially when they are trendy and well-tailored like those I’m wearing.
As you can see, it is a totally masculine look to which I added a touch of femininity by wearing a see-through white t-shirt which reveals my black bra. Not too revealing though! ^^
Those tapered pants are great! They are actually pretty chic but styled with these boots, they turned out being very casual. As for the denim shirt, it makes every outfit looks better, it’s a fact!
