stripes 1Two girls, one shirt, two styles.
Today’s outfit post is a bit different from usual as both Lena and I are appearing in the pictures wearing the exact same shirt styled in two different ways. Initially, I wanted to create a totally opposite outfit for Lena, styling the shirt in a very formal look appropriate for professional settings, but then I realized that women in general automatically think “office” when shirts are mentioned. Because of that, I decided to stick with jeans to give some tips on how to wear classy shirts on daily basis.
For the simple reason that I am a 100% sneaker chick, I kept my style very laid-back by pairing the shirt with a pair of destroyed mom jeans and red canvas sneakers. It is cool, comfortable, wearable and still fashionable.
Lena’s style is the basic casual-chic look consisting of a pair of simple skinny jeans and timeless black sandals. Finish off the look with a dramatic oversized clutch for a perfect high street style.

It is a good day to have a good day,

Take care guys!

B R I Q U E

brique 1What a better way to welcome fall than to take out my new favorite piece of clothing, the orange brique vest. It is light, trendy and makes my hair color look very good. On one hand I hate fall, on the other I am hooked on fall colors so there is a love-hate situation going on lately. We women are really complex beings! ^_^
Anyways, coming back to today’s outfit, I opted for a navy-and-white combination with silver details simply because all three colors compliment each other and make the orange brique really stand out. More importantly, this vest can be worn in thousands of different ways. I firstly used a tiny navy belt which gives the outfit a very elegant vibe then I left it open to reveal the rest of my look. All type of sleeveless vests are must-haves so you will definitely see me wearing more of this trendy piece of clothing from now on.

Wish you a B E A U T I F U L day guys!

MY CASUAL CHIC

MY CASUAL CHICToday was such a beautiful and warm day that I traded my coats for this super light Primark parka and I couldn’t be happier about it! Spring is coming and I am gonna welcome it with open arms and a happy face.
To complete my beige jacket, I went for this super chic roll neck jumper from Zara that works with everything from my wardrobe, from super chic skirt to destroyed jeans. It is really a nice piece of clothing.
The bottom part of today’s outfit consists of the most comfortable pair of jeans ever that I got at Stradivarius last year. I am still looking for the perfect boyfriend jeans, so I guess I’ll visit their store to see what they are having lately since those at Zara and H&M doesn’t fit as I want them to.
Anyways, you may have recognized the sneakers already as I have been wearing them in previous outfits. They are from Stradivarius as well, if you’re wondering. However, they are from last year but I’m pretty sure their new collection is sick too! I gotta go check out what’s new!
And last but not least, my perfect tweed bag from Zara is such a treasure. It is the best purchase I’ve done this year.

Take care guys,

Xo, G.

OVERSIZED KNITWEAR

LOTD OK 1

Today I was wearing : Zara navy blue turtleneck + DKNY Jeans navy blue flares + a brandless oversized cardigan bought in Paris last year + Georges brown and navy Mary Jane shoes,
a white H&M scarf

There is nothing like an oversized, cozy yet fashionable cardigan when you want keep it warm and fashionable. Its neutral shade makes it easy to combine with almost every color. My all navy blue outfit was inspired by the style from the 70s as I decided to wear my 3/4 sleeves turtleneck with a pair of flares which are as you can see, extremely long, too long for my short legs! Therefore, I can only wear them with high heels so I have decided to make today a high-heels-kind-of-day and went for a smooth lady-like look. I love my makeup natural for daytime especially when I am wearing neutral or lighter colors.

Cheers guys!

GET THE LOOK : OLIVIA PALERMO

OP COLLAGEOlivia Palermo, a world wide know fashion blogger is one of my biggest inspiration when it comes to creating casual chic looks but not only. I mean, which bride wore a 3/4 sleeves sweater with a tulle skirt to her wedding? And most of all, with cobalt blue shoes? But she nailed it like nobody else and that’s what impresses me. If I wasn’t already married, I would have for sure picked out a similar outfit for my big day! It is chic, comfy and totally effortless.

With her unique sense of style, she’s abolishing the “existing rules” in fashion and show the world that everything is wearable as long as it’s well thought out and respects the female body shape. By which I mean to say that she knows perfectly her body and only wear flattering clothes, never the other way around, which is a rarity in the fashion industry these days! How many celebrities, fashion bloggers or other have you seen wearing uncomplimentary outfits just because some big fashion house designed them? Lots of them, while Olivia Palermo’s personal style hasn’t changed over the years; she sticks to her amazing collection of high heels, the majority of which are from Aquazzura (one of the best shoe designers), always team her branded clothes with more affordable pieces from brands like Zara and H&M to name a few, and does not follow every trend out there. Go girl!

I got inspired last night and created these casual chic looks totally inspired by Olivia Palermo’s own fashion style. Hope you’ll enjoy them guys! ^^

FRIDAY FUNDAY

FRIDAY FUNDAYI was wearing : Zara dress, leather jacket and cross-body bag, Gamloong leather boots

It is amazing how strolling through the streets of Ljubljana can put me in a good mood. Something is always happening in this tiny downtown! People are out, mingling, enjoying the beginning of the fall and its mild weather. And so am I, in company with my dear friend who was in charge of taking pictures today.

We are so lucky to have such a clement fall, but it’s fair that it is so since the summer wasn’t sunny and hot as it should have been. So for today’s girl’s day out, I went for a very girly look in this flowy three-quarters sleeves navy dress which I styled with biker boots and leather biker jacket to add an edgy vibe. I love mixing two very different styles and wear them together, that’s why it’s pretty impossible to define my style in one word. ^^

DENIM ON DENIM

DENIM OVER DENIM I am wearing Stradivarius denim shirt and sneakers, Gap jeans

I must confess that when the denim-on-denim trend arrived, I wasn’t very fond of it at the beginning, but as the saying goes “only fools never change their minds“. So here I am, posting pictures and writing about all-denim looks.

My views have changed after seeing several celebrities pulling off the denim-on-denim trend especially Olivia Palermo and Miranda Kerr. So I gradually became interested in trying it myself and even though it took me several years, I now have the necessary clothing to rock a head-to-toe denim look in my own way.

Although I have embraced this 90’s inspired style, there’s no chance you’ll ever see me wearing a head-to-toe denim look with a blue denim jacket! No way! I consider it to be a very uninteresting style and even back in the 90’s, when I was just a kid and everybody was all about the denim-on-denim trend, I remember how I hated their outfits with their oversized denim jackets.
But this doesn’t mean I don’t wear denim jackets, far from it! I actually adore denim jackets and always had. I have two; the light blue one which I love wearing with everything but my blue jeans (of course) and the dark blue one which is actually sleeveless now, and that I love teaming with oversized sweaters and hoodies.

As for my own way of styling denim with denim, I only go for denim shirts for the top and for the bottom I have a choice between jeans, skirts or cut-offs which I style most of the time with sneakers for a daytime casual-comfy look. Like it’s the case for this photo shoot. But more classic and edgy looks involving lots of denim are still to come! ^^
