On Thursday morning when we left the house the weather was quite moody and it even started to rain half-way there so with my husband we were suspicious of what’s been going on up in the mountains. But as soon as we reached the first level Gospinca which is at 1.477m the sun came out which instantly put a smile on our faces and motivated us to go even further and we landed on Krvavec at 1.853m and then, bang, I was lost for words. The view was spectacular. My first reaction was to take out the camera and start snapping all around me. I was a bit hysterical as I couldn’t concentrate and calmly do my thing. It happens when there’s so much beauty around me. The worst thing is that no matter how good the camera is, it is impossible to capture exactly what my eyes were seeing that day. The feeling is also indescribable. I felt so small yet incredibly free. For someone who is afraid of heights, I must admit that I felt pretty comfortable up there.
The snow park also has a cute little restaurant with a beautiful terrace where you can have a snack or tan a bit while sipping on mulled wine. It was amazing and this, despite my frustration as I couldn’t turn on my board and fell a few times on my right shoulder, which felt at the end of the day like I’ve been boxing. But as they say, no pain, no gain and we all need challenges to push us towards our best performance so I kept going and spent the 2 last hours of the day really enjoying snowboarding down the slopes turning on my board and feeling a bit proud because it was my third time ever that I stepped on a board with a 2-year pause in between my second and third time. I would like to thank the best husband on earth who has a great amount of patience and support and without whom all this would not have been possible.
Hope you’ll enjoy the pics guys!
