SUNNY AUTUMN

SUNNY AUTUMN 1

I am wearing : H&M baseball jacket and t-shirt, Stradivarius jeans

Fall is the worst season of the year for me since it puts an end to Summer, it rains all the time and trees are bare of leaves. At my great surprise, I have learned to appreciate the good things Autumn has to offer. Have to admit that this mild weather helps me a lot!
I have forced myself to think of Autumn as the beginning of something new. In my world, the new year kicks off in September, a month when I start focusing on new projects.
This year for instance, I have decided to start this blog which made my bucket list a bit shorter. But there are still many others, some of which have to wait another year or two to get started and some I have been struggling for years to achieve. Still not done to this day by the way!
However, no matter how demanding those projects and challenges are, I try to face them in style.
Yesterday’s weather was extremely mild and sunny (today’s too) and it felt like Spring actually. Nevertheless, I always carry a light jacket with me in case it gets chilly but these days short sleeves are all you need.

I got this green and white baseball jacket at H&M a few years ago and it’s still like new. It’s more like a sweatshirt which makes it very comfy and pleasant to wear.
My love for baseball jackets (or American football jackets) goes back to my childhood, when I was dreaming of being a cheer-leader ^_^. I got the first one at the age of 11-12 from my cousin. It was red with white faux leather sleeves and was brought from the USA … I was ecstatic!!
I like wearing this jacket with ripped jeans and plain t-shirts whenever I’m planning on having a busy day. The only thing missing is a baseball cap but I’m still searching for THE ONE.

FRIDAY FUNDAY

FRIDAY FUNDAYI was wearing : Zara dress, leather jacket and cross-body bag, Gamloong leather boots

It is amazing how strolling through the streets of Ljubljana can put me in a good mood. Something is always happening in this tiny downtown! People are out, mingling, enjoying the beginning of the fall and its mild weather. And so am I, in company with my dear friend who was in charge of taking pictures today.

We are so lucky to have such a clement fall, but it’s fair that it is so since the summer wasn’t sunny and hot as it should have been. So for today’s girl’s day out, I went for a very girly look in this flowy three-quarters sleeves navy dress which I styled with biker boots and leather biker jacket to add an edgy vibe. I love mixing two very different styles and wear them together, that’s why it’s pretty impossible to define my style in one word. ^^

DENIM ON DENIM

DENIM OVER DENIM I am wearing Stradivarius denim shirt and sneakers, Gap jeans

I must confess that when the denim-on-denim trend arrived, I wasn’t very fond of it at the beginning, but as the saying goes “only fools never change their minds“. So here I am, posting pictures and writing about all-denim looks.

My views have changed after seeing several celebrities pulling off the denim-on-denim trend especially Olivia Palermo and Miranda Kerr. So I gradually became interested in trying it myself and even though it took me several years, I now have the necessary clothing to rock a head-to-toe denim look in my own way.

Although I have embraced this 90’s inspired style, there’s no chance you’ll ever see me wearing a head-to-toe denim look with a blue denim jacket! No way! I consider it to be a very uninteresting style and even back in the 90’s, when I was just a kid and everybody was all about the denim-on-denim trend, I remember how I hated their outfits with their oversized denim jackets.
But this doesn’t mean I don’t wear denim jackets, far from it! I actually adore denim jackets and always had. I have two; the light blue one which I love wearing with everything but my blue jeans (of course) and the dark blue one which is actually sleeveless now, and that I love teaming with oversized sweaters and hoodies.

As for my own way of styling denim with denim, I only go for denim shirts for the top and for the bottom I have a choice between jeans, skirts or cut-offs which I style most of the time with sneakers for a daytime casual-comfy look. Like it’s the case for this photo shoot. But more classic and edgy looks involving lots of denim are still to come! ^^

This is the kind of clothes I feel most comfortable in (and tracksuits of course!). I mean, how not to love loose-fitting clothes? Especially when they are trendy and well-tailored like those I’m wearing.
As you can see, it is a totally masculine look to which I added a touch of femininity by wearing a see-through white t-shirt which reveals my black bra. Not too revealing though! ^^
Those tapered pants are great! They are actually pretty chic but styled with these boots, they turned out being very casual. As for the denim shirt, it makes every outfit looks better, it’s a fact!

ALL-WHITE LOOK

ALL WHITE LOOK

Today’s post is about all-white looks which are one of the biggest trends of all time. It has appeared a few years ago and is still very current so it was about time that I tried it out. I picked out my recently bought white shirt and ripped jeans for a very casual look which I styled with nude sandals to dress it up a bit. Well, the result is not that bad actually. I definitely need to purchase more white stuff ’cause I can count on the fingers of one hand how many white things I possess. Sneakers and plain t-shirts do not count!!

FASHIONABLE AND AFFORDABLE

We are living in a world where looks are extremely important and if you ask me, it should be that way. I am not talking about physical beauty but style and the way people take care of their appearance.
Many think that in order to be well dressed and trendy, one must possess branded and expensive clothes which is a total misconception and I would like to change that thinking.

Today’s article is all about fashionable and affordable clothing. My favorite brands are ZARA, H&M, Primark, Mango, Dorothy Perkins, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, Topshop and River Island.
I love ZARA for their amazing, trendy pieces, H&M is great for basics and underwear while Dorothy Perkins a full range of dresses for all occasions. As for good quality, Stradivarius is actually my fave. Needless to say that my closet is full of these clothes and I’m pretty sure, that yours are as well.

I know that we all like the idea of having a Chanel Boy bag or the 2.55, a pair of J Brand jeans or Louboutins just to flaunt but in reality we don’t need these luxury brands to be fashionable and trendy.
I personally don’t have thousands of euros to put in a bag or shoes, I would if I could of course, but my point is that us, the middle class can be so well dressed and sophisticated that even the ‘riches bitches’ would envy us. Remember, the way you style your clothes makes you look good not brands.

Here are some outfits I created last night to prove my theory is true! ^^Take a look and hope you’ll enjoy.

LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN

Xo, Gagi.

I have finally started my first blog!

Since I was a child, I have always been mad about clothes. I used to change 2-3 times a day and would always pick out my own outfits.
Thank God, I don’t change that much today ’cause who would iron all that stuff! But my obsession for clothes is still actual insomuch I have to create outfits every single day which I consequently post on social media. When I am not creating, I feel like a junkie without his drug!

FROM PARIS TO LJUBLJANA was launched in 2010 when I exiled to Slovenia. I started posting outfits I’ve created on Facebook then Tumblr and Pinterest but I felt a real blog would be the answer to all my questions. And while thinking (long and hard), I realized that outfits on a white background aren’t the only thing I wanted to share with you.
Apart from fashion, I have a passion for photography which I inherited from my mother so thanks mom for passing down more than back problems to me! I will post mostly landscape and fashion pictures, some pics of myself and maybe photos of my relatives and friends, if they let me post their heads on my blog.

End of the article, Thank You, Good Bye, See you soon, Hopefully!

Xo, Gagi.
